Biodegradable Trash Bags Compatible with Simplehuman, 60 Bags, 8-9 Gallons

Greenland trash bags are compatible with Simplehuman Code H, Custom Fit Drawstring Bags, 30-35 Liters / 8-9 US Gallons. They are not, however, compatible with all Simplehuman 30-35 Liter trash cans and are made specifically to be compatible with Simplehuman H trash cans. The bags contain a unique additive that facilitates biodegradation, though they are not compostable. Each box contains 60 bags divided into 3 rolls of 20 bags.

Greenland trash bags have the same strength and durability as regular plastic. They only start to break down when they have been exposed to UV light or heat for prolonged periods of time.

Every year, a trillion plastic bags get thrown away, taking 500-1000 years to break down. In contrast, Greenland's trash bags break down over 1-5 years (2 years on average) depending on the amount of oxygen, sunlight, and heat present, making them a far better choice for the environment.

The reason the plastic is not compostable is that for a product to be classified as compostable, it must biodegrade within 180 days (6 months) in a composting system, back into biomass, carbon dioxide, and water. Any product that takes longer than 180 days to break down is not allowed to be classified as compostable.
